Any successful result is based on the well-coordinated work of the entire team: neurologists, diagnosticians, anesthesiologists, neurosurgeons, as well as the availability of functional software.
"Federal Center of Neurosurgery" in Novosibirsk received the second patent for an invention using the software of "LINS"company.
The invention describes a method for planning an operation using the LINS Machaon Doctor's Workstation software based on CT angiographic patient studies. The neurosurgeon selects a series of images, builds a volumetric reconstruction, takes measurements in volume relative to anatomical landmarks, and then marks the mini-access points for bypassing the cerebral arteries. This method is minimally invasive, reduces trauma, has a better cosmetic effect, reduces the time of surgery and further rehabilitation of the patient.
Thus, this method has a high potential for wide application in clinical practice.
